New Trickle Resin Based on Revolutionary New Polyester Chemistry XL®-2101
Are you concerned with production efficiency, environmental & safety issues, and product performance? XL-2101 is a fast curing, two-part, solventless polyester resin system for high volume, trickle and roll-through operations. It is one of a new class of high flash point, very low VOC, solventless polyester resins. Exceptionally stable, XL-2101 provides a catalyzed pot life of up to four weeks at 70°F and one week at 90°F. It contains no conventional monomers or formaldehyde releasing compounds.
XL-2101 exhibits fewer safety and environmental hazards than any commercially available polyester. The VOC emissions have been reduced to between 1 and 3%. The new resin system is free of conventional monomers, such as, styrene, vinyl toluene, tertiary butyl styrene (TBS), and DAP. It contains no formaldehyde releasing compounds. This low viscosity, low odor resin system cures quickly to produce a tough resilient polymer with excellent bond strength and superior electrical and mechanical properties across the operating temperatures of electrical equipment. In addition, it exhibits exceptional stability. XL-2101 is UL recognized.
